There are some airbags being recalled by manufacturers. Check your car's airbag recall status at safeairbags.com . It's very easy, you can search by the brand or be more exact with your VIN (Vehicle Identification Number). You can find your VIN on your registration, insurance ID card, the title of your vehicle, or even on a little metal plaque on the driver's side door (you have to open it to see it usually screwed into the the side of the door or the inside of the door frame).
If it turns out that you do have a recall on your car, you can call a local dealership that is affiliated with your car's maker to get it fixed for free. (ie: If you drive a Toyota/Scion, you'd call your local Toyota Dealership).
