Anxiety can actually be a good thing to feel at times because in certain situations it can help us recognize dangerThis leads us to respond to that with better chances of survival. Anxiety can also motivate and propel us to perform better. Understanding where our anxiety comes from can help us understand ourselves and make sense of the anxiety we are feeling. This can help us harness anxiety to our advantage.*

Mental Health in the workplace

Working is good for our mental health because it can give us purpose and self worth. But a negative working environment that has bullies or makes you feel harassed can lead to physical and mental health problems. As an employee, if you want to improve your work environment, one way might be to make an appointment to speak with a supervisor or Human Resource Manager about the issues your are having and coming up with a plan to resolve them. As an employer, it is your responsibility to have an open and safe environment for communication.
